Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, most certainly do! :-)

Will I need to pay a deposit before my event?

Yes. A 50% deposit is required, with a signed Service Agreement Form. This secures your day and time. It is unlikely that your spot will be secured without both of these items. Don't worry, we will fully refund your deposit if you cancel within two weeks before the date you reserved.

How soon should I book?

As soon as possible!!!

How many faces can you paint in one hour?

On an average, 8 - 12 faces can be painted within an hour depending on the complexity of the design.

Can you paint a theme to go with my child's party?

Absolutely!! Please let me know in advance, in order to make sure I have designs ready before your event. Though, keep in mind that more time may be needed for each child depending on the complexity of the design which could affect the booking time frame.

Do I need to provide anything for you?

No. Everything that I need, I will bring to make sure your face painting experience is fun and professional!

How far are you willing to travel for work?

I am open to traveling anywhere within Colorado and Southern Wyoming,  adding $1 per mile after 50 miles outside of Loveland.

How much do you charge?

Please view the PRICE LIST page above for details.

Is there an age limit for face painting?

I don't generally recommend for children 2 years old and under to get face painted. Their little skin is still developing and I would be devasted if they had a reaction to the products. For the safety of the child and insurance purposes, we can kindly offer a small design on the arm, hand or leg.

What if my child does not want to get a face painting?

I'm sorry parents, but if your child does not want to get their face painted, we will comply with the wishes of your child. We would rather paint your child for the next 10 years, than to scare them and have them not ever want to sit in our chair again.

What if my child has a rash, open wounds or sick?

I am sorry but any child that has an open wound, rash, cold sore, conjunctivitis (pink eye) or is suffering from a cold or flu like symptoms, or anything of the like, cannot be painted. This is for the safety of all children.

What kind of face paint do you use?

Only the highest quality, FDA approved, cosmetic grade face paints, makeup and glitter are used by Creative Days!

Please be advised that one should never use acrylic paint on the skin, even though it states that it is "non-toxic", it is not made for nor approved for the skin and contains harmful chemicals. Also be advised that we only use cosmetic glitters, never craft glitter which can get into the eyes and cause serious harm.

How do I wash off the paint?

All of our paint is water based and comes off using luke warm water and a little gental soap. Some colors such as blue and green may leave a light tint on the skin, but will wash off after a couple of scrub a dubbas. I do not advise to take off face painting with a baby wipe, as the chemicals in the baby wipe may have a reaction on the face with the face paint. This was the case with my own daughter when she was younger.
